JCECE
stands for Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination, which is held
by JCECEB (JCECE Board) for admissions into various colleges in Jharkhand
state. There will be 200 questions for the PCMB group and 150 questions for the
PCM/PCB group in the JCECE exam. In this entrance exam, 1 mark is awarded for
each correct answer, and ¼ mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.
Purpose:
To provide admission to undergraduate programs like B.Sc. Agriculture,
Forestry, Horticulture, and other allied courses in government and private
colleges across Jharkhand.

Subjects:
The exam is based on the 11th and 12th-grade syllabus, with subjects depending
on the candidate's chosen course. For example, the PCM (Physics, Chemistry,
Mathematics) group and PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) group are offered.
Marking Scheme: 1 mark
for each correct answer and a deduction of \(1/4\) mark for each incorrect
answer.
Eligibility criteria:
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a
recognized board.Required subjects depend on the course, such as PCB or PCMB
for B.Sc. Agriculture.
Age
limits apply, with a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
Residential Criteria:
The
Candidate must be a citizen of India and Local/Permanent resident of Jharkhand.
The "Local Resident of Jharkhand" has been defined & identified
in 7/Aa. Niti (Sarvdaliaye Baithak) 27/2002 (Khand)ka.-3198/, dated 18.04.2016
of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasa Department, Govt. of
Jharkhand.
Local
Resident Certificate in proper format, issued by competent authority [Circle
Officer or Sub Divisional Officer – (Civil) or Dy. Commissioner of Jharkhand
State] is required for candidates claiming admission.
