JHARKHAND PCS (14th)

The JPSC PT exam consists of two objective-type papers, each worth 200 marks, for a total of 400 marks. Both papers have a duration of 2 hours, and there is no negative marking. The first paper is "General Studies–I," and the second is "General Studies–II". This preliminary stage is qualifying, used to screen candidates for the main examination.

JPSC Mains Exam Pattern 2026 For JPSC Mains Paper 1, every candidate will have to secure a minimum of 30 marks and this paper will only be qualifying in nature. Marks scored in JPSC Mains Paper 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 will be counted in the final selection.

Paper-I: General Hindi & General English

Paper-II: Language and Literature

Paper-III: Social Sciences (History and Geography) 

Paper-IV: Indian Constitution & Polity, Public Administration & Good Governance

Paper-V: Indian Economy, Globalization and Sustainable Development 

Paper-VI: General Sciences, Environment & Technology Development  

  • The selection list for the Interview Test will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in Papers II to VI (a total of 5 papers), subject to the following conditions: 
    • Candidates must score a minimum of 30 marks in Paper I. 
    • Candidates must achieve the minimum qualifying marks in aggregate, as prescribed by the rules of the Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Examination, in the remaining 5 papers (Papers II to VI) 
  • The Interview Test will carry 100 marks, and there will be no minimum qualifying marks required for the interview.
