Nationality: Indian citizens are eligible, with provisions for citizens of Nepal, Bhutan, and other specified categories of people of Indian origin who have migrated from certain countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Computer-Based
Test (CBT): The
exam consists of two sessions, both mandatory.

1: Covers
Numerical and Mathematical Ability and Reasoning Ability and Problem-Solving.
Session
2: Covers General
Awareness and English Language and Comprehension.
Negative
Marking: There is
no negative marking in Session 1, but there is one mark deducted for each
incorrect answer in Session 2.
Physical
Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET): This is only for the Havaldar
posts and is a mandatory part of the selection process.
