BIHAR JUDICIARY EXAM
The Bihar Judiciary exam, conducted by the BPSC, is a three-phase process (Prelims, Mains, Interview) to recruit Civil Judges. The Prelims consists of two objective papers: Paper I on general knowledge and current affairs (100 marks), and Paper II on law (150 marks). The Mains exam has descriptive questions, testing in-depth legal knowledge and analytical skills. Eligibility requires a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a Bar Council of India-recognized university.

Selection Process for Bihar Judiciary Exam
The Bihar Judiciary exam selection process has three stages viz., preliminary (Objective) Exam, Mains (Written) Exam, and Interview. The selection process is similar to the various judicial services exams. The exam stages are:
- Preliminary Examination: The prelims exam is conducted for all the applicants who have applied for the exam. The exam has multiple-choice questions. There are two papers on General Awareness and Law.
- Mains Examination: The mains exam will be conducted for prelims qualified candidates. The mains exam has 5 compulsory papers and 5 optional papers out of which each candidate has to select 3 subjects
- Interview: A handful of candidates will be called for the interview. The interview will be taken by the committee decided by the commission.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: A candidate must have a Bachelor of Law degree from any institute or university recognized by the Bar Council of India.
- Age Limit: The minimum age is 22 years, and the maximum age allowed for the exam is 35 years. The upper age limit for women and physically disabled persons is extended to 40 years.
